Unlike foam-filled units which hide manufacturing defects and
make servicing expensive, the sophisticated engineering of our
TemperLok system keeps the spa lightweight, economical to
own and operate. The solid cabinet floor construction keeps your
spa protected from ground temperatures, moisture, and unwanted
pests. It is built from treated wood for longevity, not a brittle
plastic, making installation and moving of your unit simple.
PDC Spas has engineered a unique system that maximizes energy
efficiency and minimizes heat loss rivaling our foam-filled competitors.
The TemperLock system begins with (1) a spa shell foam backing
which prevents the spa water heat from escaping. The (2) thick
cabinet sidewalls and (3) foamed solid floor base are faced with
a reflective thermal blanket, similar to that used by NASA. A
(5) foam gasket under the spa lip completes the closed air cavity
that traps waste heat from the plumbing and operating pumps. The
(6) warmed cabinet air is radiated back to the spa and also passes
thru air controls, and the Air’assage system on the LX Series
spas, versus cooler outside air. This means efficient operation
and energy savings for you. What’s more, the (7) removable
side panels provide easy access to the components for inspection.
